Public Call for CSOs/NGOs in the Field of Public Finances

BALKAN MONITORING PUBLIC FINANCE ANNOUNCES:

Public Call for Civil Society Organizations/Non-Governmental Organizations

FOR SUBMISSION OF PROJECT PROPOSALS within the project of the European Commission CIVIL SOCIETY FACILITY AND MEDIA PROGRAMME 2014–2015. Part of the regional thematic network of Civil Society Organizations — “CSOs as Equal Partners in Monitoring of Public Finances”

BMPF invites civil society organizations (CSOs) and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Bosnia and Herzegovina to submit project proposals that are in line with the goals of the Balkan Monitoring Public Finances project and focused on the following specific areas:

  1. Enable NGOs to increase knowledge in the field of public finances, monitoring public finances, creating dialogue and involving relevant stakeholders, communication and advocacy for better accountability and transparency in the field of public finances.
  2. Provide media with communication and adequate information on political processes related to public finances.
  3. Support organizations to spread research and studies on specific topics related to public finances.
  4. Use the platform for working with various stakeholders (among representatives of different sides) to create transparent and accountable processes of policy-making and decision-making in the field of public finances.

The project budget for each project is one of the three budget levels (minimum 4,000 EUR and 8,000 EUR). Available resources for this public call are distributed based on defined criteria. Available funds for this call are up to 45,600 EUR.

The project duration can be either 4 or 8 months; projects must be implemented in the period from December 2018 to May 2019. Activities that will occur after the closing date of this call cannot be financed.

Participation in this public call is open to any CSO or NGO formally registered in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, Macedonia, or Serbia, in accordance with applicable national regulations.

Interested civil society organizations can obtain detailed information on the conditions for applying and criteria for project financing in the Guidelines for applicants. This is the last date for submission of applications: Thursday, 1 November at 12:00.

For Bosnia and Herzegovina, project proposals must be submitted in the Bosnian language. The partner organization leading the entire process in BiH is the Center for Ecology and Energy.

For Kosovo, project proposals can be submitted in Albanian, Serbian, or English. The partner organization leading the entire process in Kosovo is BIRN Kosovo.

For Macedonia, project proposals must be submitted in English. The partner organization leading the entire process in Macedonia is Analitika.

For Montenegro, project proposals must be submitted in the Montenegrin language. The partner organization leading the entire process in Montenegro is MANS.

For Serbia, project proposals must be submitted in the Serbian language. The partner organization leading the entire process in Serbia is Fractal.
