VOLUNTEERING AS A PATH TO PEACE
VOLUNTEERING
Volunteering is in its broadest sense defined as a non-profit and unpaid activity through which individuals contribute to the well-being of their community or entire society.
The Wings of Hope Foundation regularly includes volunteers in its activities in BiH. In this way, people who volunteer receive invaluable satisfaction from knowing they are useful to other individuals and society, and at the same time become part of a group of people who share the same humanitarian goals and are enriched by new experiences.
THE ROLE OF VOLUNTEERS TODAY
Volunteers today play an important role in the well-being and advancement of developed countries, developing countries, and within national or other programs for humanitarian aid, technical cooperation, and the promotion of human rights, peace, and democracy.
The pride and foundation of many non-governmental organizations, professional associations, etc., are precisely the people who voluntarily dedicate their work to the well-being of the community and society in which they exist.
