EUROPEAN VOLUNTARY SERVICE

EVS – Up to 12 Months of Volunteering in Another Country

The European Voluntary Service (EVS) gives young people the opportunity to volunteer abroad for up to 12 months in areas of their interest. Host organizations can receive volunteers based on EVS accreditation, and the sending organization is the one from the country they are coming from. Volunteers must be between 17 and 30 years of age.

EVS activities should be aimed at benefiting the local community in the country where the program is being implemented. At the same time, it is important for volunteers to have a clearly defined educational goal for the volunteer. During volunteering, the volunteer has the right to financial compensation which includes basic living expenses and a language course, and works with a mentor who helps them throughout the entire EVS experience.

ACCREDITATION SINCE SEPTEMBER 2013

Wings of Hope Receives and Sends EVS Volunteers

Wings of Hope Foundation received accreditation for receiving and sending EVS volunteers in September 2013. During 2014 and 2015, the Foundation hosted six (6) volunteers, who will soon share their stories so that young people from Bosnia and Herzegovina can firsthand learn more about this. Of course, new volunteers will bring new stories.
