PROJECT STRUCTURE
Project activities are organized within seven interconnected work packages. Each package covers a specific area of activity, with the overall goal of improving the monitoring of public finances in Southeast Europe. This structure ensures a systematic approach to research, advocacy, education, and empowerment.
WORK PACKAGE 1
Two activities of this package are aimed at building the capacity of civil society organizations (CSOs) in public finances and financial institutions (IFIs), including practical training and references. Knowledge is the main tool for participants’ minds and CSOs. Both are centered around the CSO and in that way the project finds a balance on the national and regional level.
WORK PACKAGE 2
This cluster activity aims to build the CSO and the region/EU network with other actors. Activities include working with ideas, connecting with regional initiatives, mutual partnership, cooperation to support organizations’ work with other actors.
WORK PACKAGE 3
This cluster activity aims to build the CSO and region/EU network with other actors. Activities include working with ideas, connecting with regional initiatives, mutual partnership, cooperation to support organizations’ work with other actors. This cluster activity focuses on transparency and accountability of public finances and IFIs. Activities include the analysis of current international documents on public finances and local budgets. This is conducted in partnership with research-oriented CSOs and IFI institutions.

WORK PACKAGE 4
This cluster activity works on transparency and accountability in public finances and publications of decisions made by international financial institutions (IFIs), work on public institutions through debate (online and live events), communication and mobilization of interested parties, and publishing consultative processes and setting of policy models. The key characteristic is the creation and continued collaboration with partner organizations.
WORK PACKAGE 5
These activities are aimed at improving understanding of media, through the right path and broad public. Activities include working with media, monitoring social networks, updating creative content, improving accessibility and capability to reach the public and identify complex problems in policy areas, training media contacts, and contacting journalists.
WORK PACKAGE 6
Organizational capacity is one of the foundations for effective work on our goals. Therefore, the project aims to strengthen the organizational capacity of partners. Partner activities include working on safety, clear roles to guide organizational capacity of civil society organizations in future work, transparent management, strategic planning, communications, advocacy, and capacity building.
WORK PACKAGE 7
The final work package 7 is about coordinating activities so that they are coordinated, efficient, and ensuring timely implementation of activities. This is to establish systems for managing the project (roles, activities, protocols, responsible persons, financial management, risk assessment, and reporting on program implementation), creating deadlines, regular meetings and updates, and constant communication between partners, regular issue reporting and problem-solving that may arise during implementation, providing regular results and updates, and constant communication to the donors.
