The Center for Ecology and Energy held a workshop on 23 November 2018 in Tuzla for representatives of six civil society organisations — CSOs whose projects were selected for funding under the public call, conducted within the framework of the project “CSOs as Equal Partners in Monitoring Public Finance”, which is being implemented with the financial support of the European Union.
With the aim of better mutual networking and synchronised action, all organisations presented their planned projects at the workshop. Based on the presentations and discussion, their mutual connection and joint action on certain activities was agreed upon. Participants were also informed about reporting methods, given instructions on how to maintain documentation and other details related to the grant.
In order for CSOs to maximally contribute to achieving the general and specific objectives of the project under which they were approved during implementation, the project and its objectives were presented to them. The general objective of the umbrella project is to improve the accountability and transparency of public finances, and to strengthen the role and voice of civil society in monitoring the performance of institutions when spending public finances. All six approved projects will contribute to the achievement of the general project objective.
