Wings of Hope Foundation, within the project “SAFE WORK – SOCIO-ECONOMIC INCLUSION THROUGH STRENGTHENING THE SAFE HOUSE,” supported by the European Union and the donor ERA – LGBTI Equal Rights Association, announces a:
PUBLIC CALL for proposals from individuals to provide psychotherapeutic support to LGBTIQ persons who have survived violence and are accommodated in the Safe House for LGBTIQ persons in Sarajevo.
Title: Provision of psychological (psychotherapeutic/psychiatric) support services for LGBTIQ survivors of violence accommodated in the Safe House. Duration of Engagement: From January 2026 to January 2027.
Background
The Wings of Hope Foundation works on empowering the LGBTIQ+ community in Bosnia and Herzegovina by providing direct psycho-social support and accommodation, empowering vulnerable groups, and creating safe spaces for LGBTIQ persons. The Safe House for LGBTIQ+ persons aims to ensure adequate protection and support for LGBTIQ individuals who have survived violence or discrimination. This project segment focuses on providing continuous psychotherapeutic and psychosocial support to the Safe House residents, emphasizing safety, confidentiality, and an individual approach.
Objective: Strengthening the capacities of Safe House residents to access their rights, cope with trauma, and seek help through continuous psychological support.
Responsibilities of the Psychotherapist
- Signing a Service Agreement with the Wings of Hope Foundation for a period of 12 months.
- Implementation of mandatory activities in accordance with the Foundation’s guidelines.
- Providing individual psychotherapeutic sessions for Safe House residents.
- Monitoring resident progress through session records and monthly reports.
- Active participation in creating a safe and confidential environment for the residents.
Responsibilities of the Wings of Hope Foundation
- Coordinating and monitoring activities according to the needs of the residents.
- Monitoring the implementation of continuous psychotherapeutic activities and providing professional support.
- Payment will be made based on a Service Contract (Ugovor o djelu), in accordance with the law, following the completion of the agreed psychotherapeutic sessions. Wings of Hope Foundation will make the payment directly as per the contract.
Requirements and Selection Criteria
- Experience in working with LGBTIQ+ persons and/or other marginalized groups.
- Understanding of LGBTIQ+ topics and identities, with high sensitivity.
- Commitment to a 12-month engagement, in accordance with the Service Contract.
The Proposal Must Include:
- CV of the psychotherapist.
- Completed Financial Proposal Form for the 12-month engagement (Annex 1).
Deadline and Submission Method
Proposals should be submitted to the Wings of Hope Foundation via email: info@wings-of-hope.ba, by December 31, 2025. Incomplete applications and applications received after the deadline will not be considered.
