DISSEMINATING KNOWLEDGE ON TRAUMA IS THE ROAD TO ITS OVERCOMING

Disseminating knowledge in order to overcome the effects of trauma

When faced with combatting the damage of the war on the population’s mental health, one key problem was the lack of literature addressing this issue. Particularly, there was a severe lack of information about providing support to children and young people. Due to this failing, in 2002 Wings of Hope started publishing a group of work named Trauma Therapy Today. The goal was to gather and present experiences from the conflict, but also to address certain issues surfacing as a consequence of war more generally.
